• Cold weather wear can still be bold weather wear -- try incorporating metallics into your winter wardrobe or add a splash of color to an otherwise neutral outfit with your accessories.
  
• All-black ensembles are certainly not just for funerals. Mix up the textures of a black outfit, like pairing pleats with smooth leather, to add appeal.
• The leather jacket is perfect not only for a rock-and-roll vibe but also for warmth.

It's the snow's fault....

The overwhelming 26+ inches of snow in DC made me both bum around and dress a little fugly. Please accept this video as penance for not posting in so long. It's a David Yurman campaign film from 2007, filmed by Peter Lindbergh, who is the subject of my Photography presentation tomorrow. I can't stop watching it over and over. I love the song, the models, and the shots. Enjoy!

Mary-Kate knows how to keep boho chic in season. Learn a lesson:

• Yes, you may over-accessorize. Pile on the rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Just keep the metals the same and it'll be hard to go over the top.
• Mary-Kate tops the plain white tee with the thin, plain white tee.
  
• Volumize! The chunkier the scarf, the warmer you are, the better the outfit.
  
• Go tribal with tassels, animal accessories, red and gold accents, and tribal prints.
