Prada Trousers [my style]

29 lovely comments
I went thrifting a few weeks ago and was so excited to find these Prada pants for $25! I was looking for a more masculine, looser fitting, high-waisted pair than the black pants I already own and completely hit the jackpot with the brand! Even the store workers were complimenting the find. My studded bracelet, I hate to admit, is from Hot Topic. In search of studded bracelets, they had the cheapest and coolest one.

My outfit is acknowledging a little bit more than usual that it's autumn. Maybe it was the dreary rain. Or the sudden drop in temperature. Either way, I'm so ready for fall to be here. I love cardigans and pants and scarves and close-toed shoes.

Also, these pictures made me realize that I really need to redo my roots. I think I'm going to go even redder!

Pants: Prada (thrifted), $25
Top: H&M, $3

It's amazing how quickly hours, days, and weeks go by now. I've been in classes for a month, a whole month. Whaaaaaa. Anyway, my boyfriend made sushi for dinner ... I actually don't like sushi but love nigiri (sushi without the seaweed). It looked beautiful!

I'm actually trying to decide between these three - any opinions? I don't want to break the bank but I do love those Madewell boots...

... it doesn't even flatter the size 2 model. Not that I liked these leggings too much anyway.

These pictures are from over a month ago when my bffaeaeae Anisa came to visit me in DC but I still thought I'd share. That day we went to the Mall to see the monuments, Hirshhorn, and the Natural History Museum, then got starving and went to Adams Morgan for falafels.

Black, White, and Read All Over [my style]

When I found this dress at a thrift store in Philadelphia, I loved the sleeves, neckline, pattern, etc. but hated the mid-calf length. Easy fix: my roommate Mariel/personal sweatshop worker hemmed it!

Jump shot gone wrong.

So what is more important, fashion or style?

I attended a few fashion shows today and I have seen some very "fashionable" young ladies. But, they always come up short when compared to the young ladies doing their own thing.

I know what this season's trends are suppose to be and this young lady doesn't really fit into any of those forecasts and yet she really stood out from all the other pretty young things.
